Miniature Sundial - Philip II - end of the 16th century | H91 We present you a miniature sundial - H91 model - late 16th century. This is a miniature sundial from the 16th century, used during the reign of King Philip II - king of Naples and Sicily in 1554-1598, ruler of the Netherlands in 1555-1598, king of Spain in 1556-1598 and Portugal in 1580-1598 as Philip I, of the Habsburg dynasty. The original is kept in the British museum in London. A beautiful gift for a sailor, sailor, navigator or astronomy lover. Made of zamak and brass, varnished using a technique from several hundred years ago. Simple to use, simplicity was more important than accuracy in this device. Decorative element, collector's item.
